Pepper 'Chocolate' is a beautiful chocolate-brown pepper that has a very sweet taste when fully ripe. Perfect to eat fresh in salads. It yields the best harvest in a greenhouse but can also be grown in a warm and sheltered outdoor spot.

Sowing time: February–March.
Seed depth: 0-0.5 cm.

Height: Approx. 45 cm.

Germination time: 21-28 days.
Planting distance: 60-80 cm.
Harvest time: July–October.
Plant type: Annual.
Sow indoors in February–March at 20–25°C. Keep the soil moist until the plants have established. Use a transparent lid with ventilation holes. Place in a bright and slightly cooler location after germination. Harden off and plant out in a greenhouse or a warm outdoor spot once the risk of frost has passed. Pinch out growing tips when the plant is about 25 cm tall to encourage branching.
