Sow in seed compost modules from March to June for a summer harvest. Transplant into well-prepared, fertilized soil when the plants are large enough to handle. Make a second sowing in the summer for a harvest throughout the winter, as it is very cold-hardy. Palm kale can be harvested from early autumn onwards. Grow under netting in early summer to protect against larvae.
