Feather poppy 'Swansdown' attracts attention with its plume-like white flowers and fringed petals. It is lovely as a cut flower in bouquets but it is also beautiful in the summer meadow. After flowering comes the decorative seed pods which are useful dried in bouquets and arrangements. This is also a variety that likes to self-sow.

Type of plant: Annual.
Sow directly into the soil when it has warmed up in the spring. Water the soil before sowing and keep it moist until the plants are established. Thin out when the plants are large enough to handle. It can also be sown in the autumn for earlier blooming. Leave seed pods on the plants for self-seeding or save them indoors to sow next year. Prefers well-drained soil.
