Narcissus x incomparabilis 'Polar Ice'
The Star Narcissus 'Polar Ice' is a beautiful star-shaped daffodil with pure white petal-like tepals and a corona that shifts from green to pale yellow. It reaches a height of 40 cm and blooms later in May. It has a very pleasant fragrance. This is Victoria's favorite, and you've likely seen it in her spring bouquets several times.
Plant in September-October, about 15 cm deep and equally spaced in well-drained soil. Narcissus bulbs produce offsets and may need to be thinned and replanted after a few years for more abundant blooms.
Bulb size: 12/14
Contains 5 bulbs.
Daffodils should be planted early in the fall, in well-drained and slightly moist soil, about 15 cm deep. When the foliage emerges in spring, sprinkle some of Zetas bulb fertilizer for extra nutrients. They tolerate poor and wet soil better than other bulbs. If they stop blooming, dig up and divide the bulbs, replanting them more sparsely and deeper. Daffodils are deer and hare resistant! They thrive in full sun but bloom longer in shade.
